The 5 Keys To Happiness

The first time I heard of Ray Chambers was in a recent podcast on Compassionate Leadership.

He is a Wall Street legend, philanthropist, humanitarian, and ultra-successful businessman. He is the Ambassador of Global Strategy for the World Health Organization as well as the founder of several foundations and non-profit organizations. He was also named one of Time's 100 most influential people back in 2011.

After years of success, he decided to leave it all behind. Why? Because he "wasn't happy." Instead, he applied his hard work and dedication to more philanthropic pursuits.

Below are his 5 Keys to Happiness. I could write for days on what each point means, but they are so powerful that they speak for themselves.

  1. Be in the moment.

  2. Better to be loving than to be right.

  3. Be a spectator to your own thoughts, especially when you become emotional.

  4. Be grateful for at least one thing every day.

  5. Be of service to others.

How many of these do you follow? Is there anything you would like to add? What is one small thing that you can do today to get started?
